Play paper Magic online and practice your deck
Bring your physical Magic: The Gathering cards to an online table, or practice a saved deck in your browser. Choose the experience that fits your group and your game.
Play paper MTG online
The Play Magic workspace opens the game setup flow with camera and microphone controls, a game table and card recognition. You use your physical cards and manage gameplay with your group.
What you need
- A Magic deck and a play surface visible to your camera.
- A camera and microphone, with browser permissions granted when you are ready.
- A stable internet connection and other players for a multiplayer game.
- An agreed format, power level and game plan with your group.
Create a game
Open Play Magic, select Create game, choose the available game settings and follow the camera setup. The entry page currently offers game creation; use the supported invitation controls inside the game flow.
Online MTG deck playtesting
Spellseeker includes a manual playtester for your saved decks. Draw an opening hand, shuffle, draw more cards, advance turns and move cards between your hand, battlefield, graveyard, exile and command zone. Track life and tap or untap cards as you practice.
How to practice with your deck
- Create a deck or import an existing card list in the workspace.
- Choose the deck you want to practice with.
- Open the deck’s Playtest control and draw an opening hand.
- Play through early turns manually, then adjust cards and try again.
What to look for while playtesting
Opening hands
Look for enough lands and early plays. Check whether the hand has a clear plan instead of relying on one future draw.
Mana and sequencing
Practice when to deploy mana sources, cast your commander and leave mana open for interaction.
Deck dependencies
Try hands without your favorite engine. Review how the deck functions when your commander or key card is unavailable.
Does Spellseeker apply Magic’s rules automatically?
The deck playtester is manual. You control card movement and game state; it does not enforce Magic rules or provide an automated opponent.
Spellseeker is an independent fan project, not an official Magic: The Gathering Arena or Magic Online client.
